Looks like it's 'G' season...

Yet another XR7-G up for sale on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/282477960503

A few choice quotes from the listing:

“I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THESE CAR’S”
But you sure know how to (over) price them: opening bid is set at $55K - ouch!

“The 1968 xr7 G Mercury cougar is not cheap!”
No kidding!

“We are getting emails and calls from all over the country from as far as Canada … but still no one has come out to buy this rare car”
Hmm, could it have something to do with the pricing?

One pic (looks like a photo of a photo) shows somebody’s ‘home boy’ driving the car with the back wheels looking like they’re splayed out at a strange angle - hope that’s not a recent one…

I leave it to others to comment on whether it looks like a good 'un or not.

That one has been on Craigslist for a few months.

I think he came down $10k since I saw it last though.

It does look odd.

The Marti report states this was a Cardinal Red car when new also.

This G was discussed just recently: https://cccforum.discoursehosting.net/t/1968-xr7-g-mercury-cougar-hertz-rent-a-racer/7146/1

Just going OT for the moment - what’s the best way to search all the Craigslist sites in one hit? I’ve tried things like OneCraigs, etc. but they always seem to miss half the listings.

I use searchtempest.com. It takes some getting used to, but I found my XR7-G in Chattanooga on there.

Thanks, will give it a try.
