Eliminators on the Market (May 2021)

Weather has been nice here. Car is still down for repairs though. Ah well, hopefully back on the road soon!

BEWARE OF SCAM LISTINGS OF ELIMINATORS FOR SALE!
Scammers are using pictures from legitimate listings (old and current) and passing them off as their car that is for sale, at prices well below market value. Always verify the car is real and the VIN is legitimate by checking with the CCOA or Eliminator Registry.
Also be sure to order your own Marti Report. Scammers have been doctoring Marti’s and changing VINs. Marti will not charge you for an invalid VIN.
Never send a deposit without confirming there is actually a real Eliminator associated with the listing.
And as always, remember that if it is too good to be true then it is probably a scam.

Looks like someone refreshed the engine bay based on the current pics.

Mike, you had a note warning ppl of due diligence on this one. What details do you have on this? The VIN is 0F91M545909 appears to be have been sold in the past few months by someone named Bob Goff.

Thanks for the heads up that this one is back on the market!

Regarding “due diligence”: a previous owner who had the car restored back in 1995 or so had this to say about it…

It is a REAL Eliminator VIN and parts, but was a rusty Wisconsin Eliminator that had to be re-bodied. Was a rotten, floorless northern Wisconsin car with no trunk, etc. Had drive train, interior, doors, trunk lid, Vin, and front clip swapped, going on 20+ years now. Even the oil pan had rust holes! Thats how i got the car in 95. Guy who did the work got a rust free body up from the Carolinas. Long before internet and repro parts.

Marti report for the VIN said 2 identical cars sold to the same small dealership! The first one got wrapped around a telephone pole right away. Insurance company bought the driver the second car. I used an '80’s Ford Probe yellow 'cause the correct yellow was too pale for me.
