Howdy everyone.
My Wife and I have a 67 Cougar that is all stock. Got some small issues to fix/replace. Here’s one I need some advice on. The headlights will open but not close when the engine is running. They won’t do either when not. I know they are vacuum controlled. Where should I start looking for Vacuum leaks? I have a mighty vac.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would start at the vacuum motors and work my way back from there. I would wager to say that vacuum motors are probably shot.
Take the vacuum lines off the vacuum motor and hook your mighty vac up to each of the ports on the vacuum motors to check them.
It sounds like the upper seal on the vacuum pod. There is a “poor mans” fix in the forum https://cccforum.discoursehosting.net/t/cheapskate-headlight-vacuum-motor-repair/5877/1 I think it’s on the second page. I used it on mine and they work fine.
